GREEN LOVE introduces GARDEN MAVENS, a series of interviews with creators of beautiful and interesting gardens.

Our first interview will be with MaryAnn whose garden is a more than three decade project in which MaryAnn and originally her neighbours carved stone paths through what was once forest and is now a Forest Edge garden filled with perennials.

Last week I caught the Trilliums in bloom in the morning light.

I first learned of MaryAnn's garden while sneaking a walk on Cranberry Golf Courses cart paths. Recognizing a fellowship in the scale of the project and her comittment to gardening and beauty, a friendship developed, which soon became trading plants - a tradition that continues to today.

Once I am able to return to MaryAnn's garden and get a photo of her that isn't in fogginess, I will publish the first in a series of visits to her and other beautiful gardens - and the GARDEN MAVENS who steward them.
